Dr. Christy Robinson
Dear John Pittard families,
I am excited and proud to serve as the principal of John Pittard Elementary school. I’m a native of Murfreesboro, educated in the Murfreesboro City School and Rutherford County School systems. I attended Hobgood Elementary, Central Middle School, and Oakland High School. Upon completion of high school, I attended Middle Tennessee State University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. I earned a master and specialist in education degrees from MTSU. My final degree is a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Tennessee State University. Prior to finding a home at John Pittard, I was a kindergarten teacher at Black Fox Elementary for 22 years. Later, becoming an assistant principal at the Discovery School. These experiences allow me to have a greater understanding of how to support all of our students in the John Pittard community.
On a personal note, I am married to Troy Robinson, and we have three sons and a daughter. Their ages range from 27 to 17. We have a sweet dog named Paisley Amber. I attend Olive Branch Church with my family. I am a soccer mom, cheering on my son and the Mars Hills Lions. I am a dance and musical theatre mom. I am actively involved with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Murfreesboro Education Association, and other community organizations. I am blessed to hold many honors and awards as an educator and community member. I love to attend decorator show houses, concerts, football games especially the Tennessee Titans, and any activity supporting family and friends.
As I enter this my 31st year in education, it will be a year like no other! I along with the staff at John Pittard, have intentionally worked to create a family atmosphere which is loving, fun and an exciting place for all to learn. I love being a John Pittard Lion! I am committed to creating special memories for every student we have the privilege of educating.

Jessica Jacobs
Dear John Pittard families,
I am incredibly excited to introduce myself as your new Interim Assistant Principal! I am honored to join the John Pittard family as we work together to continue fostering a positive, engaging learning environment for all of our students.
A little bit about me: I’ve been happily married to my husband, Josh, for nine wonderful years. Together, we’re the proud parents of two amazing children: Jase, who is 6, and Jensyn, who is 2. My family is my greatest joy, and I believe that the values we instill in our children at home are reflected in the work we do with our students at school.
For the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various roles within the Murfreesboro City Schools district, including classroom teacher and academic interventionist at Scales Elementary and Interim Assistant Principal at Discovery School. These experiences have deepened my passion for education and my commitment to supporting students, teachers, and families in any way I can.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Additionally, I hold an Educational Leadership Licensure from Bethel University and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. These academic experiences, along with my time working in the classroom, have equipped me with the tools I need to effectively serve the John Pittard community.
I am truly thrilled to be a part of such a dedicated and caring team, and I look forward to working closely with you all to ensure every student’s success. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I am committed to working together to provide an environment where each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
